Deb & Steve Underhill have been taking photographs for many years.
Both Deb & Steve have studied photography in various forms but more importantly have a vast range of experience in many different areas of photography.
In 2007, they both started to share their knowledge and experience with other photographers by holding regular photography workshops.
In 2008, Deb & Steve moved into to take occupancy of their own unique studios. Set in a Grade 2 Listed Building they were perfect for a studio.
In July 2011 TipTop moved into a huge new studio - with designated training rooms, huge studio space, offices plus much space than ever before.
Deb & Steve hold a variety of different workshops and photography courses, from half day sessions to more longer term
(up to 8 weeks/evenings) courses.
After each workshop, participants are invited to showcase their work in The Gallery which is open to the public for viewing. An excellent way of promoting photographers own work and also an outlet for selling images

I only have a cheap digital camera, are these courses for me?
Yes, definately. All of our courses are designed with the beginner/intermediate photographer in mind. At TipTop Photography we welcome everyone regardless of your experience.
As someone who already owns a camera but wishes to take things a little more seriously, you will certainly walk away thinking it was money well spent.
What do I need to bring with me?
All courses (with the exception of Photoshop) require you to bring your own camera.
If you are attending the Introduction to Digital Photography any digital camera with manual controls will be fine however if you are attending a course based in the studio or lighting then you will need a DSLR.
Remember to bring your memory cards, fully charged camera batteries and most importantly a smile and your imagination.
What level of photography skills do I need for the course?
While we pitch our teaching to suit you, the level is ideally suited to beginner or intermediate level photographers.
Can I use the photographs I take on the course?
You are permitted to use the photos you take of the studio models for personal portfolio use only. You can not sell the photos to a third party or stock library unless payment and written permission in the form of a model release has been agreed and signed by the model. This can be arranged upon request.
How much practical, hands on activity will there be on the course?
Photography, perhaps more than most hobbies/interests, requires hands-on practice. There are many things which need explaining of course, but without putting these things into practice none of it means a great deal. You will have plenty of opportunity for actual hands on work during the course.
Ive registered for a course, what happens now?
When we receive your payment we will email you a confirmation of your place on the course being secured.
If you pay way in advance, dont worry if you dont hear from us for a while after the confirmation email. One week before the course start we will email you with furtherl information including: course homework, course outline, map etc.
How do I pay for the courses?
Payment can be made online using our secure website and PayPal system. Alternatively you can pay via cash or cheque. Please call us to arrange payment.
Please note full payment upfront is required on all our courses, workshops and seminars
Can I buy a course place as a gift for someone else?
Yes of course you can, many of our customers have bought a gift voucher for their partner or friend. We will happily send out a personalied gift voucher for you to present.
What if your question is not here?
Please message us via the contact us page and we will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry.
